The latest Drought Monitor, released today, shows that all of the states with abnormally dry conditions (D0) last week have experienced improvements that reduced dry levels. In Alabama, all dry conditions are now eliminated and in other states, they now cover less area. In Florida, drought conditions were slightly decreased from last week. Puerto Rico experienced significant decreases in the area of moderate drought (D1) and abnormally dry conditions. Rain this week may cause further improvements in next week’s map.
