The latest 7-day QPF map shows that most of the rain that is expected to fall this week will be located near the Gulf and Atlantic Coasts, including all of Florida. Those areas could see several inches of rain. Not good news for the farmers in those areas, who are already battling soggy soil and gray skies. Central and Eastern North Carolina and Virginia are not expected to get any rain at all. Most other areas will observe less than half an inch. Week 2 also looks like it could be wetter than normal in a lot of the region, but that depends in part on the disturbances in the Atlantic and where they end up going. Stay tuned for future details!
