Since we are halfway through March, here is a quick look at how the climate is shaping up so far. The temperature across the region has been warmer than normal everywhere except for parts of Alabama. The colder area had more rain and cloud cover, which helped keep the temperature down. Most of the region was also drier than normal, with the exception of a band of much wetter than normal conditions across northern Florida where a front stalled, bringing rounds of rain to the area. The map of lowest temperature shows that every state except for Florida experienced widespread freezing conditions at least once during the month so far.
