The latest Drought Monitor, released this morning, shows that abnormally dry conditions have been removed from Georgia and shrunk in South Carolina over the last week due to the rain there. There was no change in conditions in North Carolina, Virginia and Puerto Rico. With a completely dry week for a lot of the region except for Florida and adjacent areas, we probably won’t see much change in next week’s map other than some slight increases in abnormally dry conditions possible.
