We are halfway through the month, and a quick look at the climate so far shows that with the exception of southeast Georgia and far southern South Carolina, most of the region has been much drier than normal and also warmer than normal. The areas with the most rain are also the areas that have been the coolest, most likely due to clouds and lower daytime temperatures. That is likely to change since most of the region except for the Florida Peninsula is likely to see a lot of rain over the next five days, which should bring precipitation percentages back much closer to normal.
