Weather Underground has a short but interesting article this week on unusual paths taken by tornadoes.  It’s a great idea to keep in mind that tornadoes don’t always move from southwest to northeast, although in many areas that is the most common direction.  For example, the Atlanta tornado of March 2008 moved from northwest to southeast (I know, I saw it, or at least the ground flashes as it broke power lines when it passed).  You can read the article at https://www.wunderground.com/news/strange-tornado-paths?__prclt=XWk452WO.

You might also enjoy this oldie but goodie about how important it is to react immediately to a tornado warning, from a Minnesota Public Radio report on their May 2011 tornado which was survived by some friends of mine: https://www.mprnews.org/story/2011/05/26/tornado-warning.
