The latest Drought Monitor, released this morning, shows only very slight changes in drought status across the Southeast from last week, mostly in Alabama, Georgia and western Florida.  The changes are most likely due to rain which finally fell after weeks of dry weather in the last few days, just before the end of the period over which the DM is determined.  I believe they are going to keep things unchanged until we see how much more rain we get from the next system, due this weekend, and see how streamflows are impacted by the precipitation.
