Weather Underground notes that it is not too late for a tropical storm or even a hurricane to affect the Atlantic basin this year in a blog post today at https://www.wunderground.com/news/november-hurricane-keep-your-hurricane-kits-available?__prclt=yyRexmVE.  While the tropics are less active towards the end of the season, we can still have occasional storms.

At the moment the National Hurricane Center is watching one area in the southwestern Caribbean Sea for signs of development but it is only at 50 percent chance in the next five days.  The tropical season has one more month to run officially, but occasionally storms have occurred even after the end of the official season.
