NOAA published an article today describing how last weekend’s snowstorm compares to other great storms on the East Coast using the Regional Snowfall Index, or RSI.  For the Southeast, which escaped the worst of it, they put the early January snowstorm of 1996 as the worst for the region followed by the “Storm of the Century” in March 1993.
