The Georgia Office of the State Climatologist is currently located in the Environmental Protection Division of the Georgia Department of Natural Resources.  Dr. Bill Murphey is the State Climatologist and State Meteorologist and Nyasha Dunkley is the Deputy State Climatologist.  In addition, there is a service climatologist, Lauren Lindsey, who works with them.  Prior to 2011 the State Climatologist was Dr. David Stooksbury, in the Biological and Agricultural Engineering Department of the University of Georgia (I was the assistant state climatologist).

The website for the Georgia Office of the State Climatologist can be found at https://epd.georgia.gov/office-state-climatologist.  On the website they provide links to a number of weather and climate-related resources as well as  monthly climate summary.  In addition to their work on Georgia climate, the office also provides air quality monitoring and forecasts for the metropolitan Atlanta area as well as other parts of the state.
