Some NWS offices are holding Lightning Safety Awareness activities this week, and I thought it was a good reminder to all of us who spend time outside in the summer.

And finally, I am happy to hear that a Georgia boy struck by lightning down in Florida is on the mend (link).  Remember, someone struck by lightning may be only hurt and not dead, so quick medical attention may help save their life.
