The 7-day QPF shows that much of Florida and the area along the East Coast could get hit by quite a bit of rain towards the end of this coming week.  Some of the computer forecast models are developing a low pressure area that could move near the Florida peninsula by late in the week.  This low could bring rain to the region as it tracks to the north along the coast.  The current weekend should be mostly dry, with a few scattered showers on Saturday and increasing chances on Sunday, but the best chance for rain is late in the week.  This rain could help alleviate the dry conditions and  moderate drought in south central Georgia.
