The 7 day QPF forecast for the Southeast shows a chance of showers through the week, although none are expected to bring a lot of rain to the area. The best chance for rain will be in the northern parts of the region with the passage of a front through the area on Wednesday into Thursday. Most areas will receive less than an inch, with the exception of northern Alabama and Georgia and most of North Carolina, which could see heavier amounts with the mid-week storm.
Temperatures will continue to be cool. But if you are tired of this cold weather, take heart! The long-range forecasts for mid-March are showing a significant change in the jet stream pattern, which could mean much warmer temperatures for us.
