All of our clubs kicked off last month, and we had a BLAST meeting our new groups! If you didn’t get into a club this time, don’t worry! We will have new opportunities coming after winter break!

4-H Lingo
Cloverleaf: 4-H’er that is in 4th, 5th, or 6th grade
Junior: 4-H’er that is in 7th or 8th grade
Senior: 4-H’er in 9th-12th grades
County Council: monthly meeting for Junior and Senior 4-H’ers that focuses on leadership and life skills
Spin Club: SPIN stands for “special interest”
5th Grade Clubs
We have a friendly competition going to see which elementary school can collect the most 4-H spirit points (per student, to keep it fair)! Wear green when we visit your school, turn in can tabs, participate in activities outside of your school club and more to earn points.

Support our local 4-H programs AND get some fresh, healthy Georgia Grown produce in time for Thanksgiving!
Get a 20# box of produce for $30. Boxes will contain a variety of Georgia Grown produce that MAY include: bell peppers, cucumbers, yellow squash, zucchini, green bean, corn, cabbage and/or satsumas. Place Front Door Procuce Order
Upcoming Events
For all ages:
- NOVEMBER 11: Fishing Day! Meet us at Crooked River State Park for some fishing, community service, and fun! Feel free to bring your own pole. We will also have poles for those who need one. Email Ms. Shawnie to sign up (ssahadeo@uga.edu). Please sign up by November 6.
- NOVEMBER 14: Homeschool Club meeting for 2nd-12th grades.
- COMMUNITY SERVICE OPPORTUNITY: We are looking for a few good folks who can commit to Dec. 6 & 7 in the evenings to be a part of our “Island of Misfit Toys” scene for Camden Library Lights. If you want to dress up as one of the toys, please email Ms. Shawnie. The library is holding an interest meeting on Nov. 20 @ 5:30pm if you would like to attend. More details will be available after that meeting.
- ANOTHER SERVICE OPPORTUNITY: We will have a 2-3 days in December scheduled to ring bells for Salvation Army. If interested, please let us know and we will add you to our interest list.

- Cooking 1: Nov. 12 & Dec. 12 (Must have already pre-registered. Email Shawnie to be put on waiting list.)
- CLOVERLEAF DPA: 5th Graders! We will be telling you all about our premier competition in you school meetings this month. Start working on your projects now! If you sing, dance, play an instrument, or want to cook instead of present, let us know! 6th Graders! Are you ready for round 2?! Watch your emails in January for more information!
Jr/Sr Events:
- Cooking 2: Nov. 5 & Dec. 10. $15 per session.
- County Council: Nov. 14 (Dec. TBD) *come early to go over your portfolio for DPA!
- IT’S PORTFOLIO SEASON! Please start finishing up your project work and activities and get started on your rough drafts. Rough drafts are due by November 18. Final portfolios are due on Dec. 20. If you have questions, please reach out and make an appointment with Ms. Shawnie or Ms. Rachel to get you back on track! We will be holding portfolio workshops November 18, 19, and 20th as well.
