Feeding damage has not been extreme, but growers should be aware that they may be present. The oats in most cases were earlier planted and are at about 12&#8243; in height. It would be a good idea to scout for these caterpillar pests in winter grazing and make a decision on treatment. The threshold for treating is 3 or more worms per square foot. It is expected that this would be the last generation for this season, and some fields may not have a problem.
