We are well into the meeting season, although the format is different this time. There are still opportunities to register and/or attend Extension production meetings for cotton, peanuts, corn/soybeans, pecans, and vegetables. A couple scheduled for next week are: one on cotton and one on peanuts. Pesticide credits are available for private and commercial applicators. For details click on Extension production meetings.
Also, the Tift/Worth Watermelon production meeting will be on February 8th at 1:00 p.m. and will be a virtual/online meeting. Ty Torrance, the Tri-County Extension Agent, will be hosting this meeting. More information will be coming, but if a grower is interested, please let us know at the Worth County Extension office at 229-776-8216.
Don’t forget about the GA Clean Day Pesticide Collection hosted by the GA Department of Agriculture. This event will be in Camilla, Georgia. The deadline for registration is February 5, 2021, and the collection date is February 10, 2021.
