A website from UGA Cooperative Extension

I have looked at a few fields of kale and collards this week. I have been finding at least a whitefly per leaf i have checked. I wanted to take the time to share a publication from UGA on cross commodity management of whitefly and the importance of it.

When a vegetable crop is finished, it is best for it to be completely destroyed and will help you moving into row crop production. I know the prices of some leafy greens have been good and justifies continuing cropping, but I just wanted to stress the importance of destroying this crop when finished. We haven’t been as cold this year as we were this time in 2018, and hopefully some more freezes would be beneficial to help combat a possible whitefly problem.
