U.S. Drought Monitor for May 30, 2017:<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

For the contiguous 48 states, the U.S. Drought Monitor showed 5.28 percent of the area in moderate drought or worse, compared with 4.52 percent a week earlier.<\/p>\n

Drought now affects 30,721,236 people, compared with 29,720,076 a week earlier.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

For all 50 U.S. states and Puerto Rico, the U.S. Drought Monitor showed 4.46 percent of the area in moderate drought or worse, compared with 3.82 percent a week earlier.<\/p>\n

Drought now affects 30,796,481 people, compared with 29,795,321 a week earlier.<\/p>\n
