Do you have clothes to wash, dishes to wash, and showers to take. We all do, but when thinking about the septic system, space these things out so that you do not Strain the Drain. The drain field lines can only hold so much water and that water can only move into the drain lines so fast, so spreading events that dumps a lot of water into the septic system will allow the water to move into the drainfield and dissipate before the next large volume of water. Likewise, if there has been heavy rains, the drainfield could be saturated and the water introduced into the septic tank may not have anywhere to go. So Don’t Strain the Drain!
