In the June 2017 issue of the Treatment Plant Operators (TPO) Magazine there is an article titled “How the Waterama Festival Uses Education to Initiate Change” .  The article discusses how as a result of a renovation, the Fort Worth Water Treatment plant had to stop conducting tours of their facility and developed the Waterama for local schools.  The festival started as a program for 5th graders and changed to a 4th grade program resulting from Texas School System change in Standards.  The festival started as a program by the Water Department and has expanded to  other groups including the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service.

As UGA Extension, I know we are involved in many activities involving water education for 4-H youth, school age youth, water festivals, and other events.  If you are part of an event related to water, let me know and we can let others know about the event.
