It’s fall! Get outside and log your activity

Walk Georgia new winged sneaker logoCan you believe fall’s here already? It’s cooling off a bit, and that means now is a great time to get out and moving. Remember to join us in the fall pilot session of Walk Georgia. Register by visiting pilot.walkgeorgia.org (no “www.”) and begin tracking your physical activity today! It’s not too late to get your friends, family, neighbors, co-workers or classmates involved, either.

Don’t forget to log your physical activity each week!

This week, in Walk Georgia website updates:

  • We added elliptical training, badminton, disc golf and Frisbee to our list of physical activity.
  • You can now navigate groups and subgroups with arrows. Further, we’re planning on rolling out a group search function soon, as well as the ability to see more groups at one time.
  • When you use the “Log an Activity” screen, the date drop-down menu now defaults to today’s date. You shouldn’t ever have to alter it unless you’re post-dating activity.
  • Users’ past activity logs are now arranged by date in descending order, so the most recent exercise is at the top of the list.
  • A bug was corrected in group point breakdown.
  • A bug was also corrected in the mobile navigation menu, and it should be working much more smoothly.

As always, contact your local Extension office at 1-800-ASK-UGA1 or extension.uga.edu for more information about Walk Georgia, or email the help desk at .
