Wow, it’s such a busy time of the year! Mother’s Day is coming up and graduation is just around the corner. That’s all the more reason to find some time to relax. Sweetwater Creek State Park is just the place to balance yourself and find some tranquility. This park boasts a dazzling display of natural wonders such as ferns, magnolias, wild azaleas, and hardwood trees. Trails and streams lead to the historic textile mill that belonged to the New Manchester Manufacturing Company in the 1800s. Further down the trail, rocky bluffs overlook rushing rapids. Sweetwater Creek also holds a 215-acre reservoir, known as the George Sparks Reservoir, that is great for fishing, boating, kayaking, and paddling.
Also with Mother’s Day coming up, this would be a great time to spend some quality time in nature with your mom. In fact, Sweetwater Creek is hosting a Mother’s Day Lake Paddle! The special ladies in your life get to take a break from their busy mom schedule while relaxing on the lake. Sounds like a great Mother’s Day present to me! Reservations are required so book yours ASAP!
