Who says you have to “rough it” to get outdoors and get active? Did you know Georgia State Parks offer seven lodges that make an active weekend of hiking seem like a luxury vacation?!
One of north Georgia’s most picturesque areas is the Chattahoochee National Forest. This protected area boasts over 750,000 acres of trails, rivers, streams, and outdoor activities. At the top of this gorgeous and historic area sits Brasstown Valley, one of the Georgia State Park lodges. It is comprised of 540 acres, and is just 3 miles from the North Carolina border.
You can enjoy hiking, hunting, horseback riding, golf, swimming (indoor and outdoor), and tennis just to name a few! After you are done with your day, the lodge offers 130+ rooms and a full service spa (hey, mental health is of equal importance)!
Visit the Georgia State Parks website for more information. And no matter where you choose to go, remember, when you move more, you live more (and can relax a little easier, too)!
