George L. Smith State Park

Kayaks in swampy waterEmanuel County’s 1,634-acre George L. Smith State Park offers water and land options for physical activity. The park houses the refurbished Parrish Mill and Pond, an 1880s combination gristmill, sawmill, covered bridge and dam. The park also features canoeing and kayaking around thick stands of cypress and tupelo trees, and hikers can take advantage of the park’s seven miles of trails.
