The Georgia Department of Agriculture is hosting a Georgia Clean Day on May 3, 2022 from 9 am to 3 pm. The event will be at the Georgia National Fairgrounds 401 Larry Miller Pkwy, Perry, GA 31069. The purpose of this event is to collect and dispose of old unusable, or cancelled pesticides. You must pre-register for the event by April 28 at 4 pm with Rick Hayes at ricky.hayes@agr.georgia.gov with the pesticides that you’re bringing. In Union County I will be hosting a ‘mini’ Georgia Clean Day on April 24 from 4 pm – 7:30 pm and April 25 from 8 am – 6 pm, at the Union County Schools Agriscience Center 22 Lovell Dr. Blairsville, GA. At this event you can bring your undesired pesticides and I will pre-register them for you and take them to the Georgia Department of Agriculture event in Perry.
