While the weather for the next week looks generally warm and dry across the Southeast for at least the next week, there is a question about what may happen early next week with a disturbance in the Gulf of Mexico. As of this morning it has a 30 percent chance of developing into a tropical storm in the next five days. Regardless of whether it does or not, it could bring rain to much of Georgia in the Monday to Tuesday time frame (at least that is how it is looking today–forecasts can change). Other than that, we should only see widely scattered showers and thunderstorms for the next couple of weeks, with the highest probability in the mountains as you might expect.
