There will be a seasonal vineyard and pest management workshop held from 10 AM to 5 PM on Tuesday, March 19th at Engelheim Vineyards in Ellijay, GA (127 Lakeview Rd, Ellijay, GA 30540). Thanks in advance to Gary Engel and his crew for hosting.

This workshop will cover effective seasonal vine, disease, insect, and weed management strategies, with the goal of helping attendees prepare their chemical inventories and labor schedules as the season gets underway. The vineyard management poster, which many already have in their possession, will serve as a sound reference for knowing when specific diseases, insects, and vineyard practices should be managed, scouted for, and/or implemented (as based off vine growth stage). Dr. Phil Brannen (UGA Fruit Pathology Specialist), Dr. Brett Blaauw (UGA Fruit Entomology Specialist), Mr. Wayne Mitchem (UGA/NC State Orchard and Vineyard Weed Management Specialist), Dr. Mizuho Nita (Virginia Tech Grape Pathology Specialist), and yours truly (Cain) will all be giving presentations.

Registration cost for the seminars and lunch is $25.
