You may recall a recent blog post by our resident grape disease specialist, Dr. Phil Brannen, about powdery mildew resistance to QoI fungicides in Georgia … If not, here it is:
Dr. Brannen is part of a multi-state team of specialists working on a USDA-funded Specialty Crops Research Initiative (SCRI) grant entitled “FRAME”: Fungicide Resistance Assessment, Mitigation, and Extension Network.
Dr. Michelle Moyer, Viticulture Extension Specialist/Associate Professor at Washington State and project director of the FRAME grant, has asked university viticulture extension specialists across the nation to share the following (including survey link) with regional growers to aid and guide their team’s extension and outreach efforts as they relate to grower’s understanding of what fungicide resistance is:
The FRAME Network, a national research and extension team working on fungicide resistance in grape powdery mildew, is interested in hearing about how you approach powdery mildew management and fungicide selection. If you are a vineyard owner, manager, consultant, or someone who provides fungicide recommendations for vineyards in the United States, please consider taking our survey!
