For the 2023-2024 UGA Onion Variety Trial, we evaluated 53 varieties, which included current Vidalia varieties, along with other yellow granex, yellow globe, white, and red onion varieties. For each variety grown, we compiled yield data that includes pre-graded field weights, as well total marketable, jumbo, colossal, and medium yields. In additions to yields, each variety is evaluated for flavor at the University of Georgia Ag and Environmental Services Crop Quality Lab. Thanks to all the participating seed companies and UGA Faculty who helped to make this trial possible.
