The annual GA Ag Forecast Meeting will be held virtually on Friday, January 29, beginning at 9:30 a.m. You can register at: https://agforecast.caes.uga.edu/ The meeting will focus on Agritourism. Tourism is a $66.3 billion industry in Georgia that contributes to the growth and revenue of both small and large businesses. Agritourism is a major sector of the Georgia tourism industry. This session presents the importance and opportunity of Agritourism to rural communities throughout Georgia and discusses the important linkages between local, county and state tourism efforts. COVID-19’s impact on agriculture UGA is conducting surveys assessing the impact of the coronavirus pandemic on agriculture in the state. The first set of findings on 850+ farmers were released in September 2020 and a year-end follow-up survey is happening in December. Results from both will be presented along with a summation of pandemic effects for 2020. Outlook breakout sessions:
