Peanut harvest is getting back to speed and it looks like we have, thankfully have, very good harvest conditions for cotton and peanut for a while.
Areolate mildew (Ramularia) on cotton is aggressive in a number of fields in South Georgia. If you are within 4 weeks of defoliating, I probably would not do anything.
Late leaf spot continues to be a developing story on our peanut crop. We have seen in specific commercial grower fields much more late leaf spot than I expected given the premium program(s) deployed. The real problem, in addition to the grower problem of course, is that Drs. Culbreath and Brenneman and I have NOT been able to duplicate such problems in our own trials.
