Few have already started to plant and early stands are coming up nicely. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Peanuts: <\/strong>I&#8217;ve been looking at some peanuts that have cracked. They are looking good. I have found a little crown rot so we&#8217;ll be monitoring that but the stands looked good. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Vegetables: <\/strong>The winds from the storms have been taking a toll. Melons and squash have been getting whipped and sandblasted. So far I haven&#8217;t seen any fusarium in watermelons but I am scheduled to look at a field tomorrow that it may possibly have some. Downy Mildew has been found in Echols, so we need to diligent in prevention and scouting for that. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>HERD Sale:<\/strong> We carried on with the HERD sale this week. For the first time, we used a virtual sale format that had some challenges but turned out to be effective.
