Corn and Pecan commodity commissions will be having a vote on their respective assessment rates during the month of May. Attached are the fliers with all the pertinent information.
Corn: Funds or assessments are authorized by the grower-approved Market Order and can only be used for research, education, and promotion of corn. The Market Order must be reaffirmed by growers every three years. Ballots will be mailed in late April. If you are a corn grower and did not receive a ballot, please email andy.harrison@agr.georgia.gov.
Pecan: Assessments authorized by the grower-approved Market Order can only be used for research, education, and promotion of pecans. The Market Order must be reaffirmed by growers every three years. Ballots will be mailed in late April and must be postmarked by May 30th. If you are a pecan grower and did not receive a ballot, please email andy.harrison@agr.georgia.gov
