Yet another tropical system has decided some come upon us. Hopefully, we won’t get much rain from Zeta. I think Central and North Georgia caught the brunt of it. The good news this week is that EPA has reregistered 3 Dicamba products for cotton and soybeans. Xtendimax, Engenia, and Tavium have been reregistered and will be available next year. This is good news because when used right these products give us another efficient chemistry to clean up problematic weeds in a cotton field. Many of you have asked about production meetings this winter. We are still working out the logistics on them. I’ll let you know as soon as I know what the procedures will be. Thanks to all of those who help with the Fall Livestock Show and pig sale. The show was a success and the pig sale was a huge success.

Congratulations to Andrew Grimes! Andrew was the District 4 Georgia Peanut Achievement Club Winner. Andrew won the 300-699 acre category with an average of 6,016 lbs. across 672 acres. In a normal year, Andrew and his family would get to attend a banquet at the Jekyll Island Club to celebrate this achievement but because of the COVID restrictions, Andrew had to settle for a picture with me instead.
