We can all learn more about suicide prevention, recognize warning signs, and help someone we care about find the support they need.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Suicide Warning Signs for Adults<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Talking about or making plans for suicide.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Acting anxious, agitated, or behaving recklessly.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Talking about being a burden to others.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Talking about feeling trappe. d or in unbearable pain.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Increasing the use of alcohol or drugs.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Talking about feeling hopeless or having no reason to live<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sleeping too little or too much.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Withdrawing or feeling isolated.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Showing rage or talking about seeking revenge.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Displaying extreme mood swings.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>How to Talk With Someone About Getting Help<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It isn\u2019t easy asking someone you care about if they are struggling with thoughts of suicide. But you can be that one person who asks, listens, and makes a difference. Be open and don\u2019t judge during the conversation, show kindness and concern. Help them connect with their doctor, a mental health clinic, or the emergency room if they need immediate care.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Always remember, help is available for anyone whom is struggling, and for a friend who is trying to help. If you or someone you know is struggling or in crisis, help is available. Call or text\u00a0<a href=\"tel:988\">988<\/a>\u00a0or chat\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/988lifeline.org\/\">988lifeline.org<\/a>. You\u2019ll be able to speak with a trained crisis counselor any time of day or night.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Everyone struggles at some point in their lives.\u00a0 What\u2019s important is that we notice when the struggle is happening and reach out a supportive hand.
