This coming week some colleagues and I from the UGA Rural Georgia, Growing Stronger initiative will be on the road at two major agricultural conferences. From January 11-14 we will be in Savannah at the Southeast Regional Fruit and Vegetable Conference, and then from January 15-17 we will be at the Georgia Dairy Conference, also in Savannah.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At both conferences we will have a booth with lots of great information on wellbeing and stress management for everyone. We’ll also be handing out a survey to identify things that will motivate growers to better manage their stress…with UGA thank you souvenirs to everyone who completes a survey!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the Fruit and Vegetable Conference we will also be doing workshops on Thursday afternoon and Friday, talking about ways to promote mental clarity and about resources UGA has to support the wellbeing of farmers and farm families. I hope some of you will be able to attend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So if you are going to be at either of these conferences, please stop by our booth. I’d love to talk with you and get your ideas for topics we can tackle in this blog or resources we can share with you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
