It is always exciting to see creative people doing things to support farmers. One group of producers who don’t necessarily get enough recognition and support is women in agriculture. To help with this, I’m so pleased to tell you about our colleagues from Lincoln County Extension who are establishing a virtual group called Cultivating Connections. The group starts Feb. 1 and meets quarterly. All the information is below.
Having a network of support is so important to wellbeing–being able to talk with people who “get it” about farming and having a life in agriculture. Cultivating Connections is a wonderful way to build and strengthen that network (which is an important part of our personal inventory–see my post How’s Your Inventory).
I hope lots of the women in agriculture will take a look and sign up for this virtual group. It won’t take much time, and will be a great way to connect with other women. Thanks to Robyn Stewart and all the folks at Lincoln County UGA Extension for doing this!
