Remove Stains From Carbon Paper, Typewriter Ribbon

Apparel/Fabric

  1. Treat garment with a pre-wash spot and stain remover. Launder. Air-dry. If stain remains, place a few drops of ammonia and detergent on stain and re-Iaunder.
  2. Sponge with a commercial cleaner’ or waterless hand cleaner. Rinse with water. Air-dry. Apply detergent to stain. Launder.

Carpet

Blended Fibers, Hemp, Jute, Natural Fibers, Synthetic Fibers, Wool

  1. Spray the stain with a combination solvent such as Magic, Shout, or Spray ‘n Wash. Allow to remain for 1-2 minutes, then blot. Work undiluted liquid dishwashing detergent in the stain, using fingers to agitate. Sponge thoroughly with clear water to remove all detergent residue. Blot thoroughly to remove excess moisture. Run hand across carpet (against nap) to set the pile of the carpet. Allow to dry.
  2. If stain persists, apply amyl acetate to the stain and cover with an absorhent pad dampened with amyl acetate. Keep moist for 15 minutes, blotting occasionally with a clean, absorbent pad. Set pile as described in Method #1.

CAUTIONS:

  • Amyl acetate is poisonous and flammable. Avoid contact with skin and inhaling the vapors.

Upholstered Furniture

Blended Fibers, Fiberglass, Natural Fibers, Synthetic Fibers, Wool

Apply a commercial upholstery cleaner such as Resolve or K2R. Follow directions on the product label.

Other/Interior

Acrylic Plastic, Alabaster, Ceramic Glass, Mirror, Enamel, Fiberglass, Glass, Crystal, Grout, Ivory, Jade, Mylar, Plastic, Plexiglas, Melamine, Corelle, Silverstone, Teflon

Sponge the stain with sudsy water to which several drops of ammonia have been added. Rinse well and wipe dry.
