With a superhero theme, participants can look forward to a weekend full of teamwork, creativity, and opportunities to discover their own superpowers!

High School 4-H’ers: Become a Junior Conference Teen Leader!

Are you a high school 4-H’er looking for a way to share your talents, strengthen your leadership skills, and make a difference for younger 4-H members? Apply to be a Teen Leader at the 2026 Junior Conference! Teen Leaders play an important role in making Junior Conference a success. They help create a fun, welcoming, and educational experience for 4-H’ers in grades 6–8 while gaining valuable leadership experience of their own. Three Teen Leader opportunities are available:

Workshop Instructor: Teach a prepared leadership lesson to conference participants. Workshop instructors will present their assigned lesson four times throughout the weekend.

Recreation Leader: Use your interests, hobbies, and experience to lead fun recreational activities for participants.

Community Service Leader: Lead a hands-on service project that benefits a group in need. Examples include writing letters to military families or 4-H donors, creating decorations for a senior center, or making caps for cancer patients.

Serving as a Teen Leader is a great way to develop communication, teamwork, and leadership skills while adding meaningful experience to your 4-H portfolio.

Teen Leader Application Details

To be eligible, applicants must be Teen Leader II certified and able to commit to the entire conference weekend. Teen Leaders have responsibilities throughout the event beyond their selected roles, so full-weekend participation is required. Applicants may apply for only one Teen Leader position. Due to scheduling conflicts, Clovers & Co. members are not eligible to apply. Teen Leader registration is $25 per participant and includes Saturday lunch and dinner, lodging, and Sunday breakfast.

Application deadline: Tuesday, October 27, 2026, at 5:00 p.m.

High school 4-H’ers who are ready to step up, serve others, and help younger members discover their superpowers can apply using the 2026 Junior Conference Teen Leader Survey: https://uga.questionpro.com/a/TakeSurvey?tt=vd8EirbEN3AECHrPeIW9eQ%3D%3D

Help Make a Difference with Pop Tabs!

Georgia 4-H will continue collecting aluminum pop tabs to benefit the Ronald McDonald Houses of Georgia. This is a great opportunity for 4-H’ers and their families to support a meaningful cause before the conference. Pop Tab donations can be dropped off at the Tattnall County Extension Office or turned in to your 4-H Teacher (5th-12th graders) no later than November 10th.
