The Tattnall County Extension staff has been monitoring the COVID-19 situation closely. We will follow the guidance of UGA, local emergency management agencies, health departments, and school systems to guide our activity schedules. 

Based on recommendations from Tattnall County BOE and the Health Department, all in-school and after-school 4-H competitions, practices, events and group activities have been temporarily suspended until it is deemed safe to resume these activities.

Unfortunately, Tattnall County 4-H has cancelled or postponed all of the following activities and events:

Cloverleaf DPA Afterschool Practices AND Cloverleaf DPA – March 21st

Wayne County Outdoor Archery Match – March 21st

4-H Archery Practices – March 15th, 22nd, and 29th

4-H Poultry Judging Team – All March and April Practices

4-H Senior Conference – April 4-5

Tattnall County Outdoor Archery Match – April 4

These cancellations are effective for Tattnall County 4-H youth only and may not reflect District or Statewide cancellations. Additional information will be shared individually early next week with youth who were registered for these events, especially in regards to refunds for paid events.

The Tattnall County Extension Office will remain open Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. (Closed Noon – 1 p.m. for lunch). Feel free to come by if you would like to meet with the 4-H staff about other events or activities coming up. To prevent possible spread of the COVID-19 virus or any other illness, we ask that anyone who is exhibiting symptoms such as cold, cough, or fever to please stay home.
