From church lunches to the concession stand at the ballpark, from home canners to ServSafe for food service managers, we have you covered on the latest information for\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/extension.uga.edu\/topic-areas\/food-health\/commercial-home-food-safety.html\">food safety practices<\/a>. Browse the Field Report for\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/fieldreport.caes.uga.edu\/publications\/topic\/food-safety\/\">food safety publications<\/a>\u00a0on anything from special considerations for food safety during pregnancy to how to safety infuse your own oils at home.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Plan in advance to avoid mealtime stress.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Planning meals in advance can help you reduce stress, eliminate food waste, save money, and stay on track with your nutrition goals. If meal planning feels like a drag, step back and take a more simplified approach. Avoid becoming overwhelmed by feeling like you have to plan everything, all the time.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Start with planning just one aspect of your week, like snacks, breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Choose something that feels relatively easy so you can have a quick win and increase your confidence.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cook once, eat twice by building leftovers into your meal plan.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Make a list of meals and post it on your fridge for a nudge when you can\u2019t decide what to make.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Bookmark recipes or keep a notebook with recipes you\u2019d like to try. Decide on which day of the week would make the most sense to prepare a new recipe.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Don\u2019t love to cook? Spend some time looking into options for prepared meals or meal kits.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Include physical activity in ways that work for you.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/site.extension.uga.edu\/diabetes\/2025\/09\/the-benefits-of-physical-activity\/\">benefits of physical activity<\/a>\u00a0go far beyond weight. Choose an activity you enjoy that is accessible to you. According to the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/odphp.health.gov\/sites\/default\/files\/2019-09\/Physical_Activity_Guidelines_2nd_edition.pdf\">Physical Activity Guidelines for Americans<\/a>, even small increases in activity have health benefits and there\u2019s no minimum duration of activity.
