Visit the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/fieldreport.caes.uga.edu\/publications\/\">Field Report<\/a>\u00a0to find information on health, nutrition, and more. UGA Extension\u2019s SNAP-Ed team offers online classes, recipes, and text messages to help you make healthy meals on a budget. Check it out on\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/foodtalk.org\/\">Food Talk.org<\/a>. UGA also houses the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/nchfp.uga.edu\/\">National Center for Home Food Preservation<\/a>, which offers an absolute wealth of resources on research-tested home food preservation methods including canning, drying, fermenting, and more.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Government websites are another reliable option for research based information. Check out the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/ods.od.nih.gov\/\">National Institutes of Health Office of Dietary Supplements<\/a>\u00a0for detailed information on dietary supplements or the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.fda.gov\/food\/nutrition-food-labeling-and-critical-foods\/fdas-nutrition-initiatives\">US Food and Drug Administration<\/a>\u00a0for information on food labeling, safety, and more.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Professional organizations like the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.heart.org\/\">American Heart Association<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.diabetes.org\/\">American Diabetes Association<\/a>, and the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/acsm.org\/\">American College of Sports Medicine<\/a>\u00a0are also excellent resources for reliable, science backed health information for consumers.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Can\u2019t find what you need online? Contact your\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/extension.uga.edu\/county-offices.html\">local county Extension office<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Meet with an RDN who specializes in your unique needs.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Speak with your healthcare provider about meeting with a registered dietitian nutritionist (RDN) who can work with you to create individualized nutrition recommendations to meet your health goals. You can also\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.eatright.org\/find-a-nutrition-expert\">search online<\/a>\u00a0for an RDN in your area.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Receive personalized nutrition information from an RDN to meet your health goals.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>RDNs are the nutrition expert on the healthcare team.
