Do you know that all car seats have an expiration date on them?  Car seat’s expiration date is usually found on the back with the manufacture’s information.  Car seats are good for 6 years unless otherwise indicated on label.  The issues with car seats come with the extreme temperature in the vehicle that will cause the internal parts of the seat to start breaking down.  The danger is these are parts we can’t see.  Check the expiration date on your child’s car seat.  Make sure your child is still safe in their seats.  For more information on Car Seats, contact the Tattnall County Extension Office at 557-6724.
