Jeff Davis County Extension

Each year the arrival of rust affects management decisions in corn and soybean. It moves in on the wind of storms. This past winter was mild so it may already be here hanging around on hosts that remained viable during the winter months. UGA Extension monitors the presence of soybean rust and corn rust through sentinel plots. They alert us as it found near our county each growing season. These websites will show you the progression of each type of rust. If you have questions on how to manage rust in your crops contact your county agent.
