The expected season average prices for the crops have changed from January (some up and some down). Fertilizer and fuel prices have increased.
Note also that these are price and cost estimates based on the row crop enterprise budgets. Crop prices are harvest time futures adjusted for estimated basis, except peanuts. Peanut prices are based on contracts for limited quantities and expectations of harvest time prices. Farmers and agribusinesses should adjust the budget cost numbers and yield estimates to reflect their management practices and track their actual cost of production in comparison to the budget estimates.
