The 2nd annual REACH Georgia Virtual College Information Event is just 25 days away. The team comprises UNG, Georgia Student Finance Commission, and REACH Georgia. The group is excited about the opportunity to connect with students, families, mentors, and educators across Georgia for this unique and meaningful event.

The event this year will feature the same important information about preparing to apply to and pay for college, as well as the popular faculty panel and student panels. Attendees will be able to hear from not only UNG faculty, staff, and students, but also from REACH GA and Georgia Student Finance Commission experts on accessing and utilizing GAfutures and other important information. We have also added a special session on Getting Connected in College which will focus on student organizations, clubs and athletics. Social connections and a sense of belonging on a college campus are critical components to student success in college. We want them to know about all the opportunities available to them and how they can connect on their campus.

When registering for the event this year, attendees will have the option to register for specific sessions. Attendees can register for one or two sessions or all of them.  We hope that this new format will provide more flexibility for your students, their parents, and everyone that supports them in their academic journey.  The sessions will be recorded and shared after the event.

While the event focuses on REACH Georgia scholars, the event is open to all students, parents, guardians, and mentors. The information provided in the presentations will be generic enough that it will be beneficial to all.   So please feel free to share as you would like.

Should you have any questions about the event, or if I can be of any service to you or your scholars, please do not hesitate to contact me.  We look forward to seeing you on February 17th

I, Laura, apologize for the blurry image; however, I hope the information shared above sparks interest for parents, educators, and students to go to the REACH Georgia website to learn more and to contact the staff to register.
