Y’all might already know this, but I am a huge fan of Military REACH. Military REACH translates research in a way that I can easily grab research-based information to inform my decisions as a youth professional serving military families.

So what is new with Military REACH?!?! As part of their work with the Department of Defense and the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Military REACH developed a free, user-friendly mobile app for helping professionals (e.g., marriage and family therapists, CFLEs, psychologists, counselors, social workers) to enhance their knowledge about military and veteran families. Emerging evidence suggests that using the app is associated with enhanced military cultural competence and confidence in serving military/veteran families.

Visit https://militaryreach.auburn.edu/recruitflyer.jsp for more details. To participate or learn more about the study, email MilREACHApp@auburn.edu

Those who are approved to participate in the research study and use the app will be approved for 4.0 Continuing Education Credits for the Certified Family Life Educator program through the National Council on Family Relations and for Social Workers, Licensed Professional Counselors, and Licensed Marriage & Family Therapists from the University of Texas at Austin, Steve Hicks School of Social Work. If licensed outside of Texas, check with your state licensing agency for reciprocity and/or credit approval for credits from the University of Texas at Austin.

Also, there is an incentive! Participants receive $60 in incentives, which is an added bonus to the robust knowledge gained.
