4-H believes in youth and adults working in partnership to leverage the unique strengths that each group brings to their communities and world. The True Leaders in Equity Institute will equip teams to be change agents within the Cooperative Extension System as we seek to create more welcoming and inclusive environments, particularly for nine marginalized groups of people and four affinity groups.*This training and leadership opportunity challenges participants to work together to ideate and champion an equity-related project that will grow 4-H in their communities.

Georgia 4-H is looking for 2 youth (ages 15-19) and an adult-volunteer will work together to create a project/plan to make an impact in their current communities. How neat would it be if we had a 4-H military youth and county 4-H club youth come together to be change makers?

To learn more about the Institute please see below:

If you are interested in your military installation participating in this event please connect with your local 4-H program to see if they have a youth interested and to work on establishing a team. This is a great way for the installation, 4-H, and Extension to make a difference for marginalized groups of people.

Applications for this opportunity are due Wednesday, June 23rd.
