Thank you for all that you have contributed to Extension\u2019s consumer horticulture programming throughout the state! In anticipation of another fantastic annual report for the Georgia MGEV Program, we\u2019ll be reaching out to agents and MGEVs for help with <a href=\"https:\/\/caes2.caes.uga.edu\/mastergardener\/news.html\">Project Spotlights<\/a>. You won\u2019t want to miss out on this process as we\u2019ll be doing some special activities in April to share these with you!<\/p>\n<p>In the meantime, will you check your volunteer service hour records in MGLOG? We don\u2019t want any to be missed. \u00a0There is <em><u>close<\/u><\/em> competition between counties showing up on the leader boards (look on the <a href=\"https:\/\/ugamgev.org\/\">MGLOG homepage<\/a> to see)! Before you head out to that delicious holiday lunch or party, take a minute to review your hours and share any that you have not yet reported!\u00a0<em>Deadline to report 2016 MGEV hours: January 27, 2017<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Did you know that you can also report your continuing education hours? This is time that you have spent learning, such as attending a conference or workshop. These hours are reported under \u201cCONTINUING EDUCATION\u201d in MGLOG (<a href=\"https:\/\/site.extension.uga.edu\/mgevp\/2016\/06\/making-the-most-of-mglog-tracking-continuing-education-hours\/?cat=13\">click here for more information<\/a>). (No need to enter Advanced Training hours \u2013 we\u2019ve already done that for you!)<\/p>\n<p>For some of you, this is your first year reporting MGEV service hours. For others, you&#8217;ve done this many times. You can enter volunteer service hours at any time during the year. In case you are a little rusty on how MGLOG works, here are a few tips:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">To log on<\/span><\/em>, go to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/mglog.org\">mglog.org\u00a0<\/a><\/li>\n<li><em><u>Forgotten your password?<\/u><\/em> Use the green \u201cRecover Username and Password\u201d button on the <a href=\"https:\/\/mglog.org\">homepage<\/a> to get started.<\/li>\n<li><em><u>Using an iPad or iPhone?<\/u><\/em> You won&#8217;t see the buttons at the top to insert or save the record. Instead, click the link at the bottom left of the form, \u201cDisplay Web Version.\u201d This will allow the form to save. You\u2019ll know it\u2019s working because you\u2019ll get a confirmation message when the record is first saved or when a record is updated.<\/li>\n<li><em><u>Take time to review your entries for accuracy.<\/u><\/em> To look at all of your volunteer hours,\u00a0go to My Volunteer Hours on your menu.\u00a0Choose &#8220;View or Edit My Hours.&#8221; A list of all of your volunteer time entries will appear. The bottom line on this grid will summarize all of your entries. Use the FILTER button to look at a specific date range or even a certain project. This is helpful for making sure you have entered everything for a certain month or that project you have been working on.<\/li>\n<li><em><u>To edit a volunteer entry<\/u><\/em>, go to My Volunteer Hours on your menu. Choose &#8220;View or Edit My Hours.&#8221;\u00a0A list of all of your volunteer time entries will appear. Choose the one that needs to be edited by clicking on the green number in the \u201cHID\u201d column. When it opens, edit the\u00a0figure that needs editing, tab or click into another field (so that the info will process), then click the \u201cSAVE\u201d button. This will update the record. Click \u201cBACK\u201d to return to your list of volunteer hours.<\/li>\n<li><em><u>If you find a duplicate or incorrect entry<\/u><\/em>, you can also delete it.\u00a0To delete an entry, go to My Volunteer Hours on your menu. Choose &#8220;View or Edit My Hours.&#8221;\u00a0A list of all of your volunteer time entries will appear. Choose the one that needs to be edited by clicking on the green number in the \u201cHID\u201d column. When it opens, click the \u201cDELETE\u201d button at the top of the screen.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Very soon, we&#8217;ll have the 2016 Annual Report form loaded in MGLOG. You&#8217;ll be able to see how your entries add up for your individual annual summary.
