Do you know why we celebrate Arbor Day on this particular date in Georgia? <strong>December through the end of February is the best time to plant trees in Georgia.<\/strong> Dr. Jason Gordon from UGA\u2019s Warnell School of Forestry &amp; Natural Resources discussed this last week, as we kicked off our 2020 Thoughtful Thursday webinar series with  Jason and 70+ GA MGEVs. A few notes from the session: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The <strong>#1 problem<\/strong> Dr. Gordon has observed is <strong>trees not planted in the right place<\/strong>. <\/li><li>Dr. Gordon has a database for trees of the Southeast. Ask your Extension Agent to contact him so information can be shared with your county.<\/li><li><strong>CanVis Photorealistic Visualization<\/strong> is a free software that can be used to help clients visualize what new planting of trees or shrubs will look like in the landscape.
